Happy May, friends! April was such a great reading month! I managed to finish 10 books over the course of the month and I wanted to share my absolute faves with you! If you are new here and new to my loosey-goosey book rating system…well…just know that I throw around 5 star reviews like they are confetti. If a book gives me any type of feels or keeps me up thinking about it…it is immediately five stars. You know how people say “measure with your heart” when you are cooking…I review books the same way! Puzzleheart Book Review- A Charming and Whimsical New Middle-Grade Novel
My 11 year old self would have been completely and totally enthralled and mesmerized by Puzzleheart. I have forever been drawn to books with magical and mysterious old houses. I still gravitate towards books like that today! Eklund’s Puzzle House, which is at the center of our story, is the ultimate in magical and mysterious old houses. I absolutely adored this book, and I think your Middle-Grade readers will as well. February Reading Wrap-Up!
I am sitting here attempting to write this February Reading Wrap-Up and I don’t even remember a minute of February. It was a blur and lasted 2.4 seconds and felt like some kind of weird time warp. My Top 10 Books of 2023
Happy 2024, everyone!! Somehow another year has completely flown by and here we are…at the start of a new one! I am so excited to see what the new year brings…and I have some new reading goals and some incredible books to look forward to this year…but I will save that for another post! My Top 5 Thrillers from 2022
2022 was the year I realized that mystery/thrillers are one of my very favorite genres. I love them. Its the constant guessing game that happens in my head throughout the whole book. I suspect everyone. Elderly grandma in a wheelchair? Oh, yeah…she is on the list. No one is safe. My Top Pick for August- Daisy Darker
I know that the month isn’t quite over yet, but I’m calling it. I have found my favorite book for August. I just finished reading Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney and it was everything that I wanted it to be. Now, I fully reserve the right to add more books to my favorites list for August.
